Tools of E-learning
- Animoto- Could be used for many different projects, but students could use it as a way to display information about a specific element and present it to the class
- Wikispaces – Can be used to display information used in the classroom/if using e-learning can be a nice platform to keep all of the course information together by linking videos/info/photos in one location
- Storybird- Narratives and storytelling helps with the recollection of material, creating assignments where students (or we as teachers can create some to make content more engaging) create stories
- Kahoot or Plickers- To use as a means of formative feedback from students! Both rely on student participation; however plickers requires the students to have the QR codes you have already printed out, whereas kahoot requires students to have some sort of tech device that can connect to the internet
- Picktochart- Allows for great integration of visuals into the classroom. Students can create charts that describe different cultures and traditions
- Prezi presentations can be created and shared with students to increase their knowledge and receive information
- EdPuzzle videos with questions can be integrated into students’ learning
- Google hangouts with other students from other classrooms around the world
- Google Forms to help create online tests or surveys
- PollEverywhere is an e-tool that can be used as a polling app and to create online quizzes and tests
- SurveyMonkey is an e-tool that can be used to survey students and create quizzes
- PowToon is an online tool to help students create cartoons
- VirtualLab is an online lab space for students to still make connections between the content and the environment without having an actual in person lab
- Video-conferencing tools and skype: students can use different tools to collaborate and communicate with classes from different communities across the globe
